Replacing my silver fillings

Replacing silver (amalgam) fillings might be considered for several reasons:
1. Decay or Damage: Over time, amalgam fillings can crack, wear down, or develop gaps between the filling and the tooth, leading to new decay.
2. Crack Prevention: Amalgam can expand and contract with temperature changes, potentially causing cracks in the tooth.
3. Aesthetics: Amalgam fillings are silver-colored and can darken over time, making them more noticeable, especially in visible areas of the mouth.
4. Health Concerns: Some patients are concerned about the mercury content in amalgam fillings, although the American Dental Association (ADA) and other health organizations consider them safe.
